St. Andrew Nativity School

Bri Hennessy is the President, Director of Mission at St. Andrew Nativity School, a tuition-free Jesuit middle school in Northeast Portland serving students who qualify for the federal free and reduced-price meals program. As President, Bri serves as the school’s chief executive, partnering with the Board of Trustees and the leadership team to set the strategic direction, steward the school’s mission and identity, and ensure the organization’s long-term sustainability and impact. Trained as a social worker with deep experience in education, she brings a whole-person, systems-level approach to leadership grounded in equity, belonging, and long-term student support.

 

Bri has spent over two decades working in schools and community nonprofit spaces, accompanying students and families through educational, vocational, and career pathways and transitions. She is known for building strong partnerships and community connections that expand opportunity. Her work focuses on aligning organizational vision, governance, and resources to support students’ success in school and beyond. She is particularly committed to ensuring that systems and structures reflect the dignity, strengths, and lived experiences of the communities the organization serves.
